Features hard, flexible, high gloss film with outstanding weather and chemical resistance. Starathane™ 560F/590F Acrylic Aliphatic Polyurethane topcoat is designed for small aircraft, transportation industry’s demanding OEM specifications or where a high-performance coating is required. Used on metal, steel, aluminum, PVC, wood, and fiberglass substrate. It is also available with heat reflective pigments to reduce heat buildup and in an Anti-graffiti formulation (up to 5-7 cleaning cycles). Anti-fungicide clearcoat is available providing efficient control of fungi and algae growth.
Starathane™ 560F/590F is available in VOC compliant, low VOC formulation-LV version (2.8 lbs/UG), and must be specified at the time of ordering. Otherwise, VOC emissions are not compliant with VOC limits imposed on both the automotive refinish and field applied architectural markets in Canada. The low VOC formulation is approximately 5 min. slower to flash off, but otherwise has comparable properties.
Starathane™ 560/560F is a spray formulation while Starathane™ 590/590F is a brush and roll formulation.
Starathane™ 560F/590F topcoats are available in accelerated version to obtain faster dry times (dry to touch in 30 min and dry through in 1.5 hrs. or less at room temperature), but pot life is reduced to 2 hours
